washing the car

hey all,
in your opinion what is the best type of brush to use when scrubbing the car?
i can see really fine lines on the paint of my car, when i look at it in the sunlight. I think it's from the type brush i've been using.
can wax get those lines to minimize? thanks!

the lines will probably need cutting back and WAX is not for that purpose,
you clean the car, make it shiny by cutting and then protect with the wax
