Ill advised scrubbing of paintwork - how to fix

Ok ok don't need to start with a bollocking about how stupid this was.

It wasn't me (Thank god) but my other half - on some medication that has severely impaired his judgement and came home to find him merrilly removing tar spots with kitchen scrubby! Stopped him in time to not ruin ALL paintwork but sadly has made some pretty grim white swirls on bumpers and one on bonnet.

Visible from about 15-20 feet and can feel with finger. Polish has helped a tiny bit.

So help dudes - how to fix? HE is gutted made such a stupdi error and I really want to help him sort it as his car is pride and joy (and he really doen't need the stress!)

if it hasnt gone through the laquer i would use a rubbing compound like g3 or the like

whoops!! as said G3 that then get some cleaner wax on it to improve the swirls.

Get your local valeting centre to give it a mop - job done
