can be very slow...use powertools if possible !

seems to be working now, i got a kit from machine mart...
stilll some light scratches though? and is there a tip for getting a mirror finish?

Once you've finished sanding, don't start again.
A drill isn't fast enough. You want 800+rpm.
What is this halfords buffing head? As you wanna start with a corse one then move to a softer one and on.
Autosol isnt good enough, you want proper polishing soaps.
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
but i need to sand to get the scratches out?
i have a sander with has adjustable speeds, can i use that with a mop head etc
its just a soft one and i dont use autosol any more...i have some proper soaps from machine mart.
Roll on LET power....
You need a hard head to start with, this start to remove the scratches. And no a sander isn't fast enough, think grinder speed...

i have a grinder to lol i will dig that out!
i have a hard head and a soft head in this pack i got with soaps?
Roll on LET power....
depending on how deep the scratches are you want to start off with either a 400 or a 600 grit , use the 600 grit untill you can no longer see the scratches from before then use a 800 untill you can no longer see the scratches from the 600 and then do the same with the 1000 and the 1500 , when you can no longer see any scratches then polish away ,
right well i have sussed this now! i used my hard mop to remove scratches etc and the t cut and then the soaps etc has come up brilliant!!
well just keep doing it until im happy.
cheers

T-cut???????? And yeah hard head then soft wit the right soaps for each.
I'm louder than gods own revolver and twice as shiney.
yeah its metal t-cut...seems to work well.
Roll on LET power....
i used t cut before and thought it was crap , stick to the soaps and autosol
above posts are saying keep away from auto sol? t cut isn't as abrasive.

I did the rocker cover on my let, started with 200 grit, 400, 600, 800, 1200 then 1500, then greasless abrasive compound, greased compound with a mopp, then g3, took me 3 ****ing weeks, its a mirror finish now
