    Removing Overspray/extra film of spray

Did a quick touch up on my rear bootlid and i kinda blended it in,well, thought i would and have created and extra layer of paint, basically just primer/the colour on top of the original area, didnt prep the overspray area,so you can with your finger nail scrape it back, but im now just scraping it back/off and its not looking any better

will using an electrical polisher/mop machine with some G3 etc do anything/blend it in ?

here are some pics, not great as its hard to get with the camera

This pic its the hairline mark in the middle of the pic

and this one you cant miss it ha ha,about an inch out and all the way up to the spoiler where it widens

    cheers

i tried getting some G3 today, tried partco, 10-10 and APD (all local motor factors) got the last lot from partco,Not one of these places had it,so i got some halfords rubbing compound, not as good as g3,has a nice smell to it ha ha but it got some off but its not blending just removing further back,so will buy a mop machine and try that i think,1200w one at 3000rpm should sort it :-)

i was just annoyed at how little you can buy from your local parts places now,few yrs back you could get most stuff, now they just look at you when asking for G3 or certain sized nuts etc,EVERYTHING needs to be bought via Tinternet !!!!!

I doubt you will blend that in. You will always see a nice dirty paint line. You will get it better but you won't completely get rid of it.

For blending you should use base and laquer as this blends in nicely.

Yeah, prob is most people don't do it them selfs anymore. So there's no point stocking that kinda stuff.

But there will be loads of paint places about that will have it on the shelf.

well, the whole car could do with the mop so for £50 delivered prety cheap and i`ll keep everything crossed,i can scrape it back easily enough with my nail so its not stuck very well so hopefully the rotor of the sponge pad with g3 etc will as you say, make it better but not perfect,

If it comes off easy you might wanna 1500 flat it lightly back a bit.
