hard wax dollops behind reg plates

removed my reg plates to cut them down to shorty plates, (all legal, sizes etc)

now the problem i have now is that theres 2x dollops of hard wax which must have held the plates on when it came from the factory, they feel like plastic, ive tried panel wipe and thinners but it doesnt have any effect, can anyone suggest anything that would remove these spots of hard plastic/wax

problem sorted, a few kettles of boiling hot water poured over the wax spots soon did the trick, turned them rubbery and they became easy to peel off
