Most things are better than t-cut, what do you wanna spend? Megs 3stage kit, Auto glym srp with a good wax over the top, chemical guyz do some great stuff too, theres a huge list to look at.
Most will help bring the colour back in to it. 3m are very good for polishes and cutting compounds but are a lil more bodyshop end.

Get some g3, work with that will bring the red back, then seal it with a good wax. Simple and cheap.

Im not a fan of the nxt wax (maybe the nxt hard wax is better?) Stage 3 is good, but ive been using gold class wax.

For the cavalier, it borrow o proper machine polisher, give the whole thing a g3, then polish it, followed by 2 coats of wax

After that, simply wax after washing it (you shouldnt "need" to do it any more regular than 6 weeks, but wax isnt abrasive, so you could do way more often if your keen)

G3 is fairly expensive, If you're on a mega budget I'd suggest Megs stage 2 and 3 that will come in under £20 and make the best of a crap situation, I would however be looking at spending some money on a clay kit before polishing and sealing.

PS if your rag that you use to do the T-cutting isn't turning pink then you'll likely find some genius has laquered it, if this is the case don't bother doing anything more to it as it will be in vain lmao

Re: advice on flame red cavalier

I see what gaz is saying, but to get the colour back, you NEED to cut it, and T-cut really is poor tbh. Using megs stage 1/2/3 will work, but at the end of it, unless the original colour is there to start with, then its a bit of a compromise.

G3 may be hard to find locally (either speak nicely to a local bodyshop for some "cutting compound" as thats what "Farecla G3" is, but there are loads of different brands)

    Or its available on ebay.

    motorfactors/halfords for the rest

The hard paste is quite good, as its hard you really have to work it in, so it does work better. I used it on Dans No-spec and that stayed red for ages.

You really need to polish it weekly or fortnightly to keep it shiny and red

Polishing wil keep it red, but waxing is waaaay more effective, and protects the paint rather than constantly "scrubbing" or abrading it as polishes do (all be it mildly)
