SUPER GLUE on Astra mk5 seats - HELP!!!!

My friend has an astra sxi mk5, i think it has the checkered half bucket seats, and he has got sum glue on the seats, he also works with windows so its probably tough stuff, any idea how to get it off without causing a hole and bobbles?

id say some sort of paint thinners if its not dry........ if it is you could try thinners of some sort but it will be fecking hard to get out sorry mate

like proper thinners not white spirit

I would contact a autotrim expert as thinners could burn the fibres in the seat cover.

ye he says its dry i have not seen it yet, but i think theres a few speckles of it on the one seat. any idea where id get these numbers for him? or where they are located? my bro has a valeting business but hes worried about it going bobbly

Acetone will dissolve superglue but may also dissolve your seat - if you're doing it yourself then test it on an area you can't see first.

I assume the superglue is like a small kinda looking stain.

Any thing you use to try to desolve or clean it will more than likly ruin your seats.

you havent said if they are cloth , leather/vynal etc.

I would just live with it, usually tryiing to get rid of things usually makes them worse and actually would draw more attenion to it.

you "COULD" try cutting it out and using another peice of material invisibly mend it in, or invisibly mend another pice over the supaglue

my own insticnt is just to leave it.
