Larger discs would naturally mean the calipers will have to be replaced to suit the larger diameter, but what I am not sure is if these larger calipers will fit to the same leg or the carrier mount holes,

I beleive I have often heard people say on here that you need to change the carrier/leg for the larger discs, and then the problem with larger discs is that they will need drilling to accomodate 4 studs wheels as the larger discs are for 5 studs.

I am not keen on drilling largere discs with more holes to convert to 4 studs as the more holes you drill the weaker the hub assembly must become.

Ultimately, if I go for bigger discs then I will also end up buying 5 studed wheels, so it will be more unnecessary expense. so for now l will have to put up with these silly little discs for the time being.

They will probably grow on me!! lmao

No doubt you did a proper and fantastic job! well done for that. but Don't forget you have a garage! I did on the road side, and lashed some sparay in the general direction of the calipers with a magazine to mask some of the paint, a little thin layer of paint ain't going to hurt the rubber dust seals as firstly paint won't stick to it for long!! lol. If I had a garage I would have done exactly as you did. I for one don't beleive in bodging things, but there was an exception to my case. The other factor is the time.

I see VW mark on your calipers so its not for a vauxhall? or are these so called Brambo calipers?

i had to replace the seals away as they were split, like you say it probably won't matter anyway the paint will come off the rubber after a few drives i would imagine

no its not a vauxhall it is a VW they just standard calipers and cheap brembo discs.

out of interest what spray did you use? mine came out with brush marks etc when you look close lmao
