Re: water spotting
Get a decent quality chamois leather and be quick on your toes, wipe off most excess then give it a quick going over with the chamois.
Don't wash in direct sunlight or when the paint's hot it'll mark quicker, I've valeted for years mate it's always worked for me..
Failing that get a water softener device for rinsing it off if you're in a hard water area..
Or use a good quality hard wax after washing, needs some elbow grease to get it done but it'll look the bollox after

Well I washed it the next day and it was ok.Then spent the rest of the day going through the mequirs 3 stage crystal system.Came up a treat and really cleaned what I thought was an already cleaned car.

Please dont use a sqeegee blade, they do more damage than anything!
Dry the car with a shammie, that will stop the water drying on the pannel. Which causes the water marks.
If its water running from gaps, a mist and wipe of a quick detailer will sort it.
