Re: removing primer overspray from windows???

I've never had a problem with stanley blades on glass. I must have removed the sealer from 1000's of windows in the past and never marked a window.

Re: removing primer overspray from windows???

it really depends on:

what you use
how you use it
and what kinda muppet does it

Yes you can use a stanley blade, personally would never use any kind of scouring implement, wire wool, sand paper etc.

Its glass! think of how a brand new windscreen looks and then one which was replaced.

Again, there no need just for primer, any kind of thinners, will generally do it. or even a hot hairdryer will as well.

Re: removing primer overspray from windows???

Fine Wire wool with windowlene is the best method, I have used it for years on hundreds of different cars when I was a valeter. never scratched a window yet.

Can I just say to all the people doubting this method. if you haven't tried it please don't pass comment.

If the FINE GRADE wire wool is kept lubricated with a windowlene type product it works brilliantly.
