removal of glue on the door

wats the best way to remove the glue after you have taken the plastic strip off the door??

bit of diesel on a rag or you can get some cleaner in halfords i think.

theres a item called a toffe wheel which u put on the nd of a drill its just like a soft rubber thing and it will take it straight off and wont burn the paint etc and can pick one up for less than a 5er

I use surgical spirit and a rag mate, then give the car a good wash and a polish, works a treat

This might sound daft... Can you use some of the glue on the strip and put that on the glue on the door? As both bits of glue will stick and come away from the door. I do it when removing stickers/vinal of pannels to do body work.

If that makes any sense
