Blimey, been so long since i've polished anything.

tbh, best stuff to use is some warm soapy water, then dry it off with a shamie (?sp). Then when its dry, i use a really really soft material cloth and wipe over all the chrome to give it a mirror finish and rid of watermarks.

With all my polished items (i.e fuel rail, Dizzy cap, exhaust tailpipes, wheel rim) i use metal polish from Halfords (dunno the name). Its in a silver + blue box. Its a little like T-cut, it takes the top layer off. I've been using it on my ehxausts now for 5+ years and they are still fine.

Halfords is actually a good place for it as well as you can get special chrome cleaning products. Last time i bought some cream thinking it was like the metal polish, but it was a thin clear liquid (opposed to white cream for metal polish). Done the job well though.

Cupatea that product you describe is Autoglym metal polish. It's good, but I prefer Autosol and you can get it dirt cheap at Tesco's. Best bet in my professional opinion lmao

Agreed, best is warm soapy water, but to get rid of any tarnish/discolouration/stains, use a product called Solvol Autosol. Excellent stuff, can get it most car places.
