    Recommend a buffer/polisher

Being a woman, I'm obviously lacking in the 'elbow grease' department and would like to keep my VXR (when it arrives) in tip top shiny condition.
Could someone recommend a decent buffer/polisher to do this for me.

Also any recommendations on decent car polishers/waxers so I don't have to put in too much effort.
    Cheers

you cant use a buffer too many times, try usin autoglym super resin polish ( by hand ) once a month then just wax it whenever you can when washing it!

Who told you that one then? You can use a buffer anytime you want. If you apply cutting compound to it and you use it too often fair enough, but to buff off polish....you can used it as many times as you want.

They are not even starting manufacture until 31st October so good luck, ask your dealer to put it in writing and wait for the excuses then.

I know someone who ordered in March this year (2005), they have been been quoted march 11th delivery (2006)

thats what i meant mate! a lot of polishes have a cutting agent though dont they? surely using too much polish can thin the paint out? its only what ive been told, but i find if i polish once a month it stays pristine, all my mates reccomend usin the wax but i havent tried it myself yet but am gonna give it a go.

The stuff that's in polishes and waxes is very very mild in comparison to even crappy t-cut.

An oscillating 'buffer' if used correctly with the correct pad and polish should cause no problems what so ever.

Just a cheapo halfrauds buffer. It's a mains powered one. Have used some small cordeless ones and found them pap to be honest. Always get an oscillation head. Found these to be the best and least abrasive.

Rotary buffers are usefull for cutting back new paintwork with a cutting compound...ie G3.
