Will Babyoil damage my paintwork??

I have just washed my car, and having used up all my boyfriends Auto Glym 'stuff', have had a brainwave and used a watered down mixture of Babyoil & applied it to my Calibra. It looks lovely and is really shiny - but I am now worried it may damage the paintwork. If I ring my boyfriend to ask him he will know I have used up his precious car cleaning things, (which I had planned to be out shopping when he discovers my dastardly deed.....!) Therefore, could someone please advise me if I need to wash it all off???

Thank you!

Presumably you wore something skimpy so as not to get your clothes covered in baby oil? Any piccies?

Wouldn't have thought you'd do your paintwork any damage, but you might find dust sticks to it if not properly rinsed off.

what the hell made you think baby oil was any good????????????????

you want to wash that off. because baby oil don't dry. so that mean's your going to get muck, sand and all sort's stick to it.

you don't see baby oil for sale anywhere near the polishing product's do you.

keep that stuff where it should be.(in the bedroom)lol

Good - glad I brought a smile to your face!! No doubt I will raise a few more..... The Babyoil really does make it sparkle though!! Think I will just keep quiet & hope for the best.

Thank you for the advice, I don't have to suffer the embarrasment of telling my boyfriend now (who would delight in telling his mates all about my Blond moment!) I thought it was a good idea because Babyoil makes my skin shine.... I suppose Hair Conditioner would be OK?

I did take a couple of pics of my baby-oiled car on my mobile phone actually! But as for any of me I can't i'm afraid, as the only pics I have of myself covered in babyoil are the ones my boyfriend has taken - but they are nothing to do with me washing my car!?

As a rule steer clear of anything not intended for cleaning cars.

You could always wait until it is covered in crap, tell him you were parked under a tree, and get him to wash it.

I find adding some fake tan to the water also helps give the car an all over healther appearance

Wht does Haynzee call himself these days?

Still, made me smile this morning which is difficult as I'm suffering with fairly liquid bottle shi+s after a nasty curry!
