| Proof you can polish a turd!!! (Girlfriends New Car) Sorry bout the pic quality as its on my phone but you'll get the idea.
This pic shows it in a better state than when we got it, it had sat for months and was mouldy inside and out But £250 ya cant go wrong!!!!!
So we put it in for an MOT and it failed on:
Bald tyre
Directional tyre on the wrong way round
CV Boot
Bottom arm bush
Inoperative horn
3 studs on one wheel.
So we got it home and she bought a complete bottom arm, which the honourable Stefan fitted, and as one of the legs was knacked we changed both front legs for GSi items, GSi ABS Shafts, 60mm lowering springs, Jamex shocks (All stuff i had lying around the garage except the springs), and swapped the tyres about so they were all correct. We then put in a GSi steering wheel and wired up the horn.
In it went for a retest, and after some new track rod ends it passed. So now taxed and MOTd, she's on the road , So today i thought as it was a few shades of yellow, i'd T-Cut it and polish it. Needs a bit more work on the paint but its almost the same colour and is looking amazing compared to when it arrived. So many people have said why did she get a yellow car but i bet once the suns out itll look great. Only things left to do are change the exhaust as its a straight through stainless, and too loud for the type of journeys we do and thats about it. Heres the naff pics but once the cameras fixed and the cars been treated to some more polish ill put it on here again.
Now owes here about £400 (without tax) Now i think thats a bargain!

| looks nice for 250! apparantly "Mer" does a great job of polishing up old faided paint work. Just been putting it on my car and its made quite a big difference and mine wasnt even dull looking lol.
Although im sure it looks much better than the pics show.
Were there any engine problems with it? |

| Wasn't aware that they took off centre caps to check that. Least they've never done at any of my MOT's....no one asked for the centre cap key for the Cav.
Tis nice, just gotta replace those mirrors now and it's a good-un. |

| Unfortunately, mould will grow where it's cold and damp..... the window was left open a bit to help 'air' the inside out.... didn't work (as you know..lol)...
Alternator was a new one for me.... no sign of that before we laid it up.
Still.... an M reg Astra Sport for £250..... who'd have thought it |
