    Big up Auto Glym

Bought myself a bottle of their paint renovater today, its got extra carefully selected amounts of aluminium oxide to lift a fine layer of painty & all that b*llocks.

Done 1 wing with it to see if it would get the grained in dirt out of scratches in the paint (looked really nasty)

Sure enough, it got the sh*t out AND removed the scratches

Well pleased, doing the whole car tomorrow, then give it a mental wax with their special resin wax

problem with the red is the pigment breaks down, someone posted a link to a bmw site with how to restore the same type of paint as vauxhall flame pink

I've gone well off Auto Glym reently and I'm not sure why. I guess I've never really had outstanding results from in. Time to try something new.

I've gone off AutoGlym recently too. Tried a whole bunch of Meguirs stuff and it's simply superb.

There's a huge world beneath the surface of car cleaning, Auto Gylm and Megs are just the top consumer level stuff. They are good but you can take it so much more serious, check out www.autopia-carcare.com

    Re: Big up Auto Glym

You wanna get one of them drill or orbital sander mounted polishers to use the compound with (auto glym / tcut / G3). Otherwise you have to spend ours doing it by hand. Then use the wax to seal it. That's how I think cars with laquer are dun propperly is - dunno what u do if the car don't have a clear on the paint.

    Re: Big up Auto Glym

A "mop" is useful if you have to clean your car a lot or need to do it quickly. This is what I do on the metal sections of the car anually

    Clay old wax off
    Deep cut polish
    Mild polish
    Finishing polish
    Carnuba wax
    Synthetic sealent wax

All applied with a good set of microfibre cloths

Then at weekends I use a quick detailer spray providing the car isn't actually dirty.

Then every now and then it gets re-waxed.

    Re: Big up Auto Glym

Not used Auto Glym for nearly a year now. Been using the Williams F1 stuff from Halfords.

Just one coat of that produces better results on my black Cavalier than AutoGlym's Super resin AND Extra Gloss together

Can't be bothered spending silly money on expensive "proper" polishes. It's only a fecking Cavalier lmao
Hey, you! Out there on the road always doing what you're told, can you help me?

if its anything like t-cut then it will take aaaaaaaaaaages to do the whole car. best off getting a mop and some g3, takes about half an hour and looks great.
