Durashine - has anyone tried it?

    http://www.jmldirect.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1

Supposedly you never need to dry the car ever again, the water just slides away as if by magic. You never need to wax again, blah blah...
They show it kicking @ss on the infomercials, but at £25 a pop, I wonder if anyone has tried it and given the thumbs up (or down)

Well if it's anything like their Steam Genie, the advertising is a tad on the optimistic side lmao

Well all these 'miracle' products sound too good to be true. Usually they're overpriced tat.

So nobody has used Durashine then?

Re: Durashine - has anyone tried it?

Not used it. Watched the JML channel yesterday when the Dura Shine bit was on.

So beading is bad for the paintwork eh? It leaves loads of pits and holes in the paintwork does it? Does it boll*cks lmao

Looks great in the ad, but I bet there's a disclaimer somewhere saying that you must use their car shampoo (sorry, shine regenerator or whatever they called it lmao) or the Dura Shine won't work properly.

So, you never need to wax a car again, never need to take it to a car wash either, because every time it rains it's just like washing the car? Why is it then, in the infomercial, there are a bunch of people who have put Dura Shine on their cars - and they are re-applying it while that American geezer wanders round them. Thought you never needed to wax it again?

You do get a 30 day money back guarantee though, so if it doesn't work I suppose you could send it back. Thing is, I kind of like the way my car looks after rain at the moment lmao

Oh yeah, one other plus point for Dura Shine is that it will stop a laser from damaging your paintwork lmaolmaolmaolmao

It does a reasonable job. But you will get better with a bit of elbow grease and proper polish, but great for a quick job.

G3 is good. but you must use a good wax afterwards. after all, G3 is a heavy cutting compound... lol

As Haynzee says always use a good wax, i got a finishing polish when i bought the G3, its unlabelled so i couldnt tell you what it is (i assume it is part of the same range) but it certainly does the job in style. The paintwork was near on a mirror bar the back arch. lmao

Although it`s a cutting compound i didnt find it anywhere near as harsh as tcut or other similar brands...?

Re: Durashine - has anyone tried it?

It's the whole "when water beads on a car, it damages the paintwork" approach that makes me think "bollox!" lmao

I mean, I've been polishing cars regularly since 1989 and I've never had pitted and holed paintwork due to over polishing.

lol , just watchinh the jml channel just now, and they aim a laser beam at the 'durashine'd' paintwork which apparently stops any scorch marks from this laser that burns through '2 inch thick industrial polystyrene'

Well, my excuse is that the houswife was watching it waiting for the Steam Genie ad to come on again (just to see what they say it does again now she's bought one lmao) and the Dura Shine ad was on just before it
