North East And Borders Meeting

I have been trying over the last few days to try and organise the first North East & Borders meeting of MIG.

Here is my idea if sufficient people will commit to the day.

The intended date is the 23rd of September and the venue is York raceway.

This is so that the meeting can be incorpirated into some 0-60 & 1/4 Mile sprints. This is the last track day of the year and possibly the last ever. Sky TV will be there filming so you could get your ugly mug on the telly .

Please note that this is an open day and people outside MIG will be there running & showing.

The price for the day would be £8.50 for entry only plus an extra £15 for unlimited runs on the strip.

If there is to be a MIG meeting at the event I will need to contact the organisor with a rough amount of numbers that will be attending.

So if anyone is interested please let me know.

I will try and answer any questions anyone has.

here is a map to York Drag Strip, as your driving to it you'll think your lost as it's in the middle of nowhere!

My advise take a thick jacket and probably a umbrella as it gets cold and rains allot!

Also watch out for the pot holes as your driving up the entrance after paying!

All in all it's usually a good day

Last time i went racing at york they did not do 0-60's

they only do 1/4 mile runs.

If my car is back i may try and get there but very unlikely it will be ready.
