orange livebox/dell laptop issue???

I cant connect my laptop to the net using my orange livebox.

My PC is connected (wired) to the livebox and works fine
But my laptop wont use it for internet access.

Using the dell wifi software, it can find the livebox and has the wep key, but internet explorer just wont work.

But the win Xp connection manager wont find it???

Do i need to delete the dell wifi software and just use the on board xp stuff?

I'm yet to find any software that works better for wireless than the standard XP stuff

You need to press the 1 button on the back, light starts flashing on livebox, then connect with key. If you've already done that, disable the Dell WiFi software in msconfig and use XP stuff. As said, nothing seems to work better than XP

disabled the dell software - laptop started looking for wifi at startup. but it asks me for the wep key every time and then fails to connect...
