F1 Game on PS3 or 360??

Havent bought computer games in years now, so have no idea whats out there but both my housemates have a 360 and a PS3 so fancied buying an F1 game to run on one of them.

Ive just done a search and it seems there one on the PS3, but thats based on the 2006 season and none on the 360?? Surley that cant be right? Are there any more and my google powers are rubbish?

There used to be one every year although admittedly the last one I bought was F1 2002. I dont want to play the 2006 season, its miles out of date? Schumacher's still going to be racing FFS!

They have had it since 1996, and produce carbon copy F1 games every year. Sony bought out Psygnosis, which produced quality games, but now just do F1 and game testing.

Codemasters have the F1 license now, not Sony. Expect to see something next year i'd guess.

Re: F1 Game on PS3 or 360??

so no game at all apart from one that 2 years out of date? fpmsl. Glad I dont bother with these new gen consoles!!!

Gone back to playing F1 1995 on my trusty PS1, a psygnosis one which someones already mentioned. If Im going to play an out of date F1 game, I may as well make it interesting!

If you want the most realistic driving game put your name forward for iracing for the pc. Yes it's expensive but the driving physics make all the console games look very arcade like. It's very realistic and well worth a try. Google it or search for videos on youtube.

Re: F1 Game on PS3 or 360??

we'll Ive just invested £12 in a new controller for my PS1 as the one I had was full of dust or something and wouldnt work very well when I pressed the buttons. Thats the first money Ive spent on computer games in about 5 years I reckon

Anyone know where I could get a copy of TOCA 2 Touring Cars?

Retro gaming rules because it costs virtually nothing!!

Re: F1 Game on PS3 or 360??

Im, after the PS version if possible, never been a PC gamer really!

Yeah housemate did have it, he's sold all his car/racing games now, hence me having to buy my own games for it

Re: F1 Game on PS3 or 360??

Yea grid is rubbish IMO, very unrealistic as ive never seen a wtcc doing 170mph and near flat out around every corner.

Unfortunatly from what ive read on the net f109 will be based around grid which isnt good, though Codemasters have set up a forum so fans can tell them what they want from it.
