| restoring windows xp? Guys my laptop seems to be virus infested, so i need to ort this out. ive tried downloading adaware andpopup blockers etc, but no joy.
this has happedd before and i restored the computer using 'system restore' to retor it back to a previous day. but my computer will only allow me to restore till 2days ago when the computer was still foooked.
to top thngs all off, i cant find the backup disc i ceated whn i first bought the laptop.
is there aay i can restoremy laptop?

| Re: restoring windows xp? In that situation, I'd advise backing up your data to a USB memory stick or CD, and doing a format and reinstall. You could dick about for days trying to disinfect it, when its gone that far you just need to cut your losses.
Did it come with a restore disc, or even a Windows XP one?

Come to think of it, do you have a spare PC you can post from, or is this your only one. Be a bit hard to post back here if the machine is fooked  |
