Computer virus help for a mate please :)

ok, got a virus on my pc, posting from another pc atm,
just wondering if anyone knows soming i can load on to a usb memory stick so when i switch the infected pc on again
it can stop/delete the virus.
i didnt have any antivirus installed :s whoops
it changed my background, came up withn a pop up box asking me to enter the code to confirm its my pc, i didnt, cos would prob wipe harddrive or soming. :s
my curser wouldnt leave that box area.
but i was able to move between task manager and some functions with tab and direction keys etc..
just wondering if anyone has any experience? what to do nect when i turn it back on

Can he boot into Safe Mode?

He can download SDFix and install whilst in Safe Mode....it then runs in Safe Mode first and then reboots the PC and finishes off in normal mode...loading up before anything else...including explorer.exe etc

if you can get to task manager you might be able to end the task thats opeing the box then remove it from there
