I've had toyo proxis T1S on the front of my SRi cav.

Very nice. Grippy!! Didn't last very long though

I think my Eagle F1's are a better mix of outstanding grip and long wear

They're ok if you dont have alot of power, 100bhp ok, 250bhp no way! especially in the wet! (I had wheelspin at 80mph)

New goodyear F1, thats what you want wet or dry

So do you run different tyres, compounds and sizes front to rear? I'm not being funny just wondering

Personally I'm a bit of a stickler for running the same tyres all round, for the sake of predictability in all conditions, which in my case are Yoko A509's which I think are great though admittedly I've never run anything else due to never needing to change all 4 tyres at once.

ermmm...yeah..im runnin Miches pilots SX 205s fronts....
not fitted now tho....
the way it is now its at the most a 1cm difference in circumference tween my front hardware and the rears...and theyre similar in wear as they r....
im also a bit paranoic bout havin same stuff all round....but it seems its not too important on this car having much more weight and being grippier on the front by nature....tho i never have different sizes compounds left right...that would just be mad

Fair enough, in my limited experience its OK mixing in the dry but in the wet or even worse the damp especially when changing road surfaces that you have to be carefull, or rather I wasn't one damp day when I was 17 and nearly stacked it big time!

its even worse when u got gravel midturn...
happens here a lot...in twisty turns out in the country the big lorries carrying gravel shyt they drop som off...exactly where u need it to feck up...

and even in inner city...at the intersections where u have to stop theres a long long trail of gravel so ull never stop and gravel thruout the Tcross to make sure u smack sum other poor f/\ck....why they keep carrying that gravel everywhere ill never understand ...cos wherever it arrives its always half empty...
