checked my 4x4 system again today, and as i suspected the temp switch in the txb was knacked, but so was the spare one you took out of the other txb. so i was advised by the sparky at work (who checked the switched for me) to twist the two wires connected to the temp switch together, which will send a closed signal back to the 4x4 ecu and fool it into thinking the switch is ok, i done this and off went the 4x4 light, done a check on the acculator and got 29 whoosh back , so as soon as i get a new temp switch installed thats the 4x4 up and running , its about time i started having a bit of luck with this car.
but after checking the tyres ive noticed it must have been running in 2wd before the engine blow with the other guy who had it, cause the tyres seem alot differant in depth, so i will have to do a more detailed check of the tyre depth before i start running it 4wd, might have to rotate the tyre front to rear and run it in 2wd untill they become more even, shame too as they have good depth, so it would be a waste and an expense i can do without at the moment just to replace all 4 so i can run 4wd drive, id rather hang on and try and sort these out

but as far as the likes of the MOT go it should be more or less ready

to be honest with you dave i think the other txb is knacked
thats the one that came off the ex-cop car, and when it was nicked i dont suppose they will have bothered about caring for the txb, i was just going to sell it to VTS, they offered me £100 for it. you can take it and try it if you want, and if it ok, just give me what they were going to.
